GENERAL DESCRIPTION

  • Responsible for managing, overseeing, and strategizing to define PMG’s L&D portfolio
  • Evaluating individual and organizational development needs
  • Designing and delivering e-learning courses, workshops and other trainings
  • Assessing the success of development plans and helping employees make the most of learning opportunities
  • Designing in-house scalable solutions that include a blended approach to learning such as coaching, classroom training, 1:1 session, & e-learning
  • Helping managers develop their team members through career pathing
  • Ensuring proper integration of learning and development with other PMG departments to create the best learning environment for our employees
  • Creating and fostering key team relationships to encourage collaboration and use of Learning and Development services across the agency
  • Interfacing with employees and management to determine agency training priorities, implement best practices, mitigate issues, and identify continual improvement opportunities for L&D portfolio
  • Selecting or creating materials and appropriate delivery methods for programs on a variety of topics (i.e., new employee orientation, job skills training, or performance appraisals) to increase an employee's individual performance
  • Managing the relationship with the LMS vendor (i.e., Litmos/ PMGU)
  • Supporting and monitoring the implementation of new courses, course enrollments, and learning path updates for new and existing employees

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, training and development, business, education or equivalent work experience 
  • Instructional Design experience strongly preferred
  • 8+ years of learning and development experience or related work experience
  • Strong management and team development skills
  • Ability to build and lead a high performing team
  • Proven experience managing a Learning & Development portfolio consisting of multiple program work streams 
  • Proficient knowledge of effective learning and development methods
  • Strong understanding of e-learning platforms and practices
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills at all levels across the agency with a high capacity for influence and collaboration
  • Ability to produce best-in-class training deliverables 
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong business acumen 
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft PowerPoint
